Deposit Guarantee

Banco di Caribe N.V. is authorised by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) to operate in the Caribbean Netherlands (‘BES-islands’) and is therefore covered by the deposit guarantee for money placed with branches on Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba.

Deposit guarantee is a free service that automatically protects the money of residents of the public entities Bonaire, Sint Eustatius and Saba up to 10,000 USD should anything happen to the bank. If you have more than one account with Banco di Caribe, the compensation limit applies to the total amount of all your accounts

 

Your money with Banco di Caribe N.V. is in almost all cases protected up to 10,000 USD if the following three conditions are satisfied:

  • Your money (or that of your company) is placed on an account with a branch on Bonaire, Sint Eustatius or Saba of a bank that is covered by the deposit guarantee for the Caribbean Netherlands
  • You are (or your company is) formally registered as the owner of the account(s) on which the money is placed
  • You are a resident with a sedula issued by the public entity Bonaire, St Eustatius or Saba (or your company is registered in Bonaire, St Eustatius or Saba)
     

 

The deposit guarantee scheme for the Caribbean Netherlands is managed by De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). Certain exclusions to coverage apply. Please refer to DNB's website for more information on deposit guarantee in the Caribbean Netherlands.
