Which Credit Cards does BdC offer?

There is an incorrect transaction on my statement. What should I do?

If you notice someting wrong on your statement, you may be the victim of fraud, skimming or simply a human mistake. Please visit our branch at Kaya Grande 22 or call our customer support department or contact your account manager as soon as possible.

How can I check my Credit Card balance?

You can check your Credit Card balance at any Banco di Caribe ATM and other ATMs with a VISA plus logo that allow that service or through your Banco di Caribe Online system.  

What should I do when my Credit Card is lost or stolen?

Report a lost or stolen card immediately.

Where can I use my Credit Cards?

With your Banco di Caribe Credit Card, you can pay virtually anywhere, and it gives you the purchasing power to make that must-have item yours right away. In addition, many car rentals, hotels and online stores require you to have a credit card, making it a truly essential tool for modern life, travel and business.

How do I apply for a Credit Card?

Applying for a Credit Card is easy. Please visit our branch or contact your account manager.


What do I need to apply for a Credit Card?

When applying for a Credit Card, you will need to bring the following documents to our branch: 

  • Two recent salary slips 
  • An employer’s declaration  
  • Valid form of identification

Do I need to have an account to apply for a Credit Card?

Yes, having a current account at Banco di Caribe is required when applying for a Credit Card.

How do I pay back my outstanding Credit Card balance?

For your convenience, we offer you the choice of three different repayment methods:

  • Minimum payment: 5% of your outstanding balance is automatically debited from your current account monthly.
  • Full payment: Any outstanding balance is debited monthly from your current account;
  • Fixed payment: An agreed amount is debited monthly from your current account;

How long will it take to receive my Credit Card?

You can pick up your Credit Card six business days after we have received and approved your application.

How are my online purchases secured with Visa?

Visa has developed a program that helps confirm your identity when you make an online purchase. There’s no need to download or install an App/software, or register your account. During an online purchase from your desktop, mobile or other digital device, you may be guided through an extra check to verify your identity. This helps us ensure that the person using the card is you and better protects you from fraud. This is one way Banco di Caribe and Visa have teamed up to secure your account(s).

What is the benefit of the Visa secure program?

Through this program, you have an added layer of protection that prevents the unauthorized use of your Visa Credit Card and MultiCard while shopping online. This service helps us know you’re really you and most importantly, it protects you from fraud.

Is my personal information safe and secure?

Yes. Your information is transmitted using a high level of encryption and is stored on a secure server.

Does this Visa service cost me anything?

No. There are no costs associated with this service.

How will I know if my online purchase has this added layer of protection?

This service will automatically activate at checkout at any Visa participating online merchant. When using this service, you may occasionally be prompted at checkout to verify your identity. This will protect your transactions from fraud by ensuring that the person using the card is you. You will be able to recognize if the merchant is participating in the Visa Secure program by the following Visa Secure badge on their website:

Can I still use my Visa Credit Card and MultiCard at online merchants that are not participating in this program?

Yes, your Visa Credit Card and MultiCard will continue to work as usual if the merchant is not participating in this program. Your transaction will still be protected by multiple layers of security and zero liability for fraudulent purchases.

What happens when I finish shopping with my Visa Credit Card and MultiCard?

When you are finished shopping, proceed to the merchant's checkout page. As you complete your online transaction, a Visa Secure window will appear indicating that you will have to choose your preferred verification method in order to receive a 6-digit verification code. You can choose to receive this code via SMS or through email.

After choosing your preferred method and entering the verification code, you will have to submit this code to continue with the process. Your identity will be verified within seconds and you will be redirected to the website in order to finalize your purchase.
